It’s a night filled with priceless memories, but getting there could cost a pretty penny. With many people tightening their financial belts, some are finding ways to do prom on the cheap.
The perfect prom dress usually comes with a not so pretty price tag. But in this recession, many parents are pulling the plug and retailers are responding.“We have footwear from $50 to $80, handbags from $18.-$25., as well and the dresses, short or long are $50. TO $180,“ said Patricia McCune with JC Penney. Penney’s head-to-toe prom collection costs under $200.
